What are Local Hot Shot drivers?

Local Hot Shot drivers are professional truck drivers who specialize in urgent, time-sensitive freight deliveries within a local or regional area. They typically operate smaller trucks, such as pickup trucks with flatbed trailers, rather than large semis. This role requires flexibility, strong driving skills, and knowledge of local routes. Many hot shot drivers are owner-operators who manage their own schedules and clients.
