Job description

Our established pet care company is seeking reliable and trustworthy Independent Contractors to provide professional dog walking and pet sitting services for clients in Vienna and Oakton, Virginia. This flexible role allows you to control your schedule making it ideal for freelancers, students, or local gig workers with strong dog-handling skills who want to supplement their income while enjoying time with pets.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct solo dog walks and pet sitting visits for clients in the Vienna and Oakton areas
  • Manage safe and independent navigation to clients' homes, including handling entry/exit codes and securing premises
  • Provide fresh water and affection to pets during visits
  • Send timely, professional updates to pet parents, including photos and walk summaries via mobile app
  • Use GPS navigation tools and photo reporting software to fulfill assignments accurately
  • Maintain compliance with background check requirements and company policies
  • Operate a reliable, insured vehicle for transportation between client locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in pet care
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Background check clearance
  • Proficient dog handling skills with awareness of safety protocols
