As a Local Truck Driver, you will play a vital role in transporting finished goods from our facility to clients throughout the Northeast region. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where safety, reliability, and teamwork are valued. If you are looking for a stable, local driving role with regular routes and a focus on professional growth, this is the position for you.
Responsibilities

  • Transport finished goods between the facility and assigned destinations in the Northeast region.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Accurately document and log work/rest periods, mileage, and retain fuel and toll receipts.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions and ensure proper securing of cargo.
  • Collect and verify delivery documentation at each stop.
  • Safely handle and unload products at designated locations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members as needed.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including fueling, oil checks, and tire pressure monitoring.
  • Report any vehicle or trailer damages using the company's maintenance system.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and DOT regulations.
  • Report any animal welfare concerns to management immediately.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid CDL license required.
  • At least 4 years of experience operating tractor-trailers and reefer units.
  • Experience maneuvering and parking tractor-trailers.
  • Proficient with GPS and routing systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on safety.
  • Basic math skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
