Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vehicle, and personnel activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
