Position Summary
Everflow Supplies is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to support the launch of our new New Jersey Distribution Center. This is a local driving position operating a company-owned day cab tractor with a 53-foot trailer. There is no over-the-road (OTR) or interstate travel required.
During the startup phase, the primary responsibility will be transporting inventory between Everflow Supplies distribution centers throughout New Jersey to support inventory transfers and operational needs. This role is ideal for an experienced driver who takes pride in safe driving, professionalism, and providing exceptional service.
What You'll Do
- Safely operate a Class A day cab tractor with a 53-foot trailer.
- Perform local deliveries and inventory transfers between company distribution centers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
- Secure and transport freight safely while complying with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Verify loads for accuracy and ensure products are transported without damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and management regarding schedules and delivery status.
- Assist with loading and unloading when necessary.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Represent Everflow Supplies professionally when interacting with employees, customers, and vendors.
What You’ll Bring
Required
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience operating a 53-foot trailer.
- Experience with local delivery routes and distribution center transfers preferred.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and DOT requirements.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented.
Preferred
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Target Compensation Range: The posted pay of $232.50 per day represents the anticipated hiring pay for this position. Individual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, internal compensation practices, and other job-related business considerations, consistent with applicable law.
