Job Summary
Fleet Strategy Group is seeking a skilled, organized, and reliable Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in a dynamic full-time role.
In this position, you will bridge shop operations and administration. You will be responsible for locally shuttling Class A commercial vehicles between our customer locations and our shop, as well as providing key administrative support to our Operations Manager. Your work will ensure smooth fleet logistics, accurate documentation, and optimal operational workflow while maintaining company quality and safety standards.
This is a versatile, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment that offers a balanced split between local driving (home daily) and desk-based administrative operations.
Responsibilities
Fleet Logistics & Local Driving:
  • Safely transport and shuttle Class A commercial vehicles between customer sites and our repair shop.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ensure timely and safe drop-offs and pick-ups to support shop productivity and customer satisfaction.
Administrative & Operational Support:
  • Act as an administrative assistant to the Operations Manager, handling daily record-keeping and workflow updates.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of fleet repairs, service logs, and maintenance records.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, shop technicians, and supervisors regarding vehicle status.
  • Assist with work order processing, parts/inventory tracking, and general office tasks.
  • Keep work areas and operational logs clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Class A CDL (Required): Active Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in fleet operations and local driving.
  • Administrative Skills: Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office/Excel, email management, and fleet software).
  • Communication & Safety: Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a strong commitment to DOT safety standards.
  • Mindset: Team-oriented, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently between office tasks and driving duties.
