Position Overview:

This role will involve driving a semi and hopper, tender truck, or truck and trailer with agronomy products, grain, and feed ingredients. This position provides a great opportunity to contribute to the agricultural industry and allows drivers to be home every night. This is an hourly position.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Load products, and ingredients and deliver to the proper destination
  • Transport and deliver product over distances in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner
  • Must be able to back in and out of areas
  • Must be ablet to follow directions to get to work sites
  • Hook and unhook trailers
  • Install and remove tire chains as required by weather
  • Inspect truck and trailer for defects before and after trips
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, maintaining records
  • Deal with delays, change, or unexpected events
  • Put safety at the forefront, following all rules and laws
  • Responsible to appropriately utilize WFR fuel cards
  • Assist with other areas of the business as needed

Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience

Qualifications

  • Must have Class A CDL and valid medical card
  • MVR must pass insurance requirements
  • Will be required to participate in WFR’s drug and alcohol testing program
  • Must have a cell phone with internet capability
  • Ability to drive in a safe manner
  • Ability to follow all laws and regulations
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk and be on feet
  • Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Capable of doing repeated actions
  • Effectively communicate with team members

Work Environment

  • Schedule: Monday- Friday. Weekends may be required in peak seasons. There will be seasonal demand during agronomy peaks. Must work scheduled days and hours needed to get tasks completed. Must work full time.
  • Environment: Primarily in truck or outdoors. Nosie level is usually moderate.
  • Travel: This position will travel each day to designated destinations.
