Your day to day as a Delivery Driver CDL-A
As a Full-Time Delivery Driver CDL-A at Upper Lakes Foods you'll take the wheel of a tractor trailer, navigating the roads while ensuring timely deliveries of our diverse product range, including meat, produce, frozen goods, and more. Your role will involve manually unloading these products using a two-wheeler on metal truck ramps, where your customer service skills will shine as you create a positive experience at each site. Safety is a top priority, so you'll operate in full compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, ensuring that every delivery is not only efficient but also secure. Does this sound like you?
To excel as a Full-Time Delivery Driver CDL-A with Upper Lakes Foods you'll need a mix of technical skills and a customer-focused mindset. Operating a tractor trailer safely is essential, so a valid Class A CDL and at least one year of driving experience are preferred. You'll be unloading various products using a two-wheeled hand cart so having the ability to safely transport product using the two-wheel cart where weight of all products can be up to 500lbs.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 60 pounds.
Familiarity with software for pre-trip inspections and invoice verification, along with the ability to maintain delivery schedules, is equally important. You should be comfortable working in diverse weather conditions and have strong communication skills to interact with customers.
