Job Title: Part-time Local Delivery Driver (Seasonal) 

Reports to:
Brewery Operations Manager
Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00/ hour
Description/Expectations:
Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Part-Time Local Delivery Driver to support our busy fall season. This role is expected to run from August through the end of October and offers the opportunity to transition into an ongoing part-time position for the right candidate.
You'll make local deliveries throughout the Greater Boston area using one of our company Sprinter vans, ensuring our products arrive safely and on time while providing outstanding customer service. This is an active role requiring frequent lifting, loading, unloading, and moving of kegs and cases of beer.

Schedule: 
Seasonal Position: August through the end of October
Part-Time: 24 hours per week
Regular Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Potential to transition into an ongoing part-time position based on business needs and performance.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Safely operate a company Sprinter van throughout Greater Boston and surrounding communities.
  • Deliver beer, kegs, and other brewery products to customers and company locations.
  • Load, unload, and secure products to ensure safe transportation.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
  • Verify deliveries for accuracy and complete required delivery documentation.
  • Represent Hendler Family Brewing Company professionally while interacting with customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
  • Assist with loading delivery vehicles and organizing deliveries before departure.
Job Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Comfortable driving throughout Greater Boston, including busy city streets and tight delivery locations.
  • Ability to safely move and double-stack full kegs weighing up to 165 pounds using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and perform physical work throughout an 8+ hour shift.
  • Excellent attendance, reliability, and time management.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to work the regular schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with occasional flexibility based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous delivery driving experience.
  • Experience driving a Sprinter van, cargo van, or similar commercial vehicle.
  • Box truck driving experience is a plus.
  • Warehouse, beverage distribution, food service, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Multilingual (English, Spanish, and/or Portuguese) is a plus.
