Job Summary:
The Parts Department Delivery Driver / Counterperson assure proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions. This person is responsible for receiving and recording new parts inventory; maintaining parts databases; maintaining safe and secure environment. This person also handles phone, electronic (email or other source) and face-to-face interaction with retail, wholesale customers as well as fellow employees. This position involves local delivers and pick up of parts and equipment for the dealership while ensuring the delivery truck is in clean, safe, operable condition.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
  • Deliver & pick up parts as necessary.
  • Keep the parts department clean, safe and presentable at all times.
  • Stock in items by unpacking, arranging and placing items in bins and on shelves.
  • Receives returned items by inspecting items; re-packing and re-shelving items; returning damaged and unused parts to supplier. Generate any required credit memos.
  • Check in and stock incoming shipments in the correct location. Create bin locations for new or overflow stock. Make necessary adjustments in the computer inventory system.
  • Process buyback returns as well as core returns to the manufacturer. Ensure that credits are received for returned parts, forward paperwork to accounting.
  • Assist in preparing for annual parts inventory.
  • Promptly meet and assist technicians, retail guest, phone sales and fellow employees in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Answer all telephone calls promptly, courteously, and make every effort to satisfy the caller's inquiry.
  • Perform all duties as assigned by any member of management.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards outlined in employee handbook.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading about new products; utilizing manufacturer online training. Off-site instructor lead training may be required.
  • Maintain a safe driving record.
