We are looking for a new Local Operations Supervisor to join our growing Local Operations Team and Fulfillment Center network. This individual will report into our Senior Manager, Final Mile Delivery and is responsible for the oversight, development, and accountability of the local delivery and pickup counter operations. This role provides leadership across fleet administration, dispatch, driver management, and on-site pickup counter functions, ensuring efficient, safe, and customer-focused service.

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: 180,000 sq. ft. in Farmers Branch, TX at 12301 N. Stemmons Fwy, Farmers Branch, TX 75234

Schedule: This role oversees an operation that runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT. While this position generally follows a schedule, operational demands during peak and seasonal periods may require leaders to work additional hours beyond their regular schedule. Leaders are expected to maintain a flexible schedule and adjust their working hours as needed to support the business and their teams.

Salary: $65,400 – $81,750 per year 

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm daily routes and ensure Local Delivery Drivers are available to take orders
  • Continuously communicate with Local Delivery Drivers while they are out on their routes
  • Continuously schedule new orders into WorkWave until cutoff times
  • Supervise daily routing and dispatch operations to ensure efficient, on-time deliveries and high customer satisfaction
  • Monitor route performance and collaborate with Fulfillment and Customer Service teams to resolve delivery or scheduling issues
  • Oversee daily fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, inspected, and compliant with all state, federal, and company standards
  • Manage vehicle registrations, insurance, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules, maintaining accurate documentation and cost controls
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs, preventive maintenance, and vehicle acquisition or decommissioning
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for fleet and dispatch software to optimize system utilization, reporting, and workflow improvements
  • Promote a strong safety culture by conducting driver training, audits, and incident investigations in compliance with DOT and OSHA standards
  • Oversee Pickup Counter Associates in assisting customers on-site and during pickup counter hours of operation
  • Work with customers over the phone as it pertains to Local Delivery and Pickup orders
  • Assist the Customer Service team in Slack regarding anything related to Local Delivery and Pickup
  • Oversee waves, replenishment, picking, and packing as they pertain to Local Delivery and Pickup orders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance fleet and pickup counter performance, reduce operational costs, and support business growth
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in conjunction with the Assistant General Manager and in accordance with SupplyHouse’s policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Assistant General Manager in aspects including, but not limited to, hiring, training, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, disciplinary actions, and addressing complaints and resolving issues
  • Communicate all departmental personnel-related issues to the Assistant General Manager prior to addressing team members to discuss the course of action
  • All other duties as assigned by the Assistant General Manager and/or SupplyHouse management

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1–2 years of leadership experience in a fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution environment
  • Direct fleet, transportation, routing, or delivery management experience
  • Proven experience overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to productivity and quality standards
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop associates to achieve departmental goals
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and standard operating procedures
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and ability to promote a safe and compliant work environment
  • Fundamental understanding of inventory management, supply chain, and logistics concepts, including experience with local delivery operations and route management
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills, with high attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and follow standard processes and procedures
  • Ability to push and pull objects up to 60 pounds of force independently
    • Employees are expected to seek help or use appropriate equipment to ensure safety for any task involving pushing or pulling that exceeds 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8-10 hours and up to 20,000 steps per day

  • Prior experience collaborating cross-functionally to implement process improvements or operational initiatives
  • Familiarity with performance management, including conducting feedback sessions and supporting employee development
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA compliance standards in warehouse or fleet operations
