Position Scope:

The Quality Control Final Inspection team performs inspection operations while working from drawings, customer specifications and process operating documents. Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, Quality Control Final Inspection conducts product quality inspection and analysis in compliance with standards, customer requirements and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Determine product acceptability with drawings and/or procedures that are provided through visual inspection and frequent use of microscope.
  • Document nonconformance and maintain quality records to prevent repeated occurrence of product nonconformity and deficiencies.
  • Perform inspections using various mechanical and electrical measuring and testing devices such as a multi-meters, calipers, CMM and micrometers.
  • Create NCMR (non-conforming material review) and notify appropriate parties of findings.
  • Provide data entry and administrative support to assist with tracking defects through a "defect library" and contribute to the organization's productivity tracking.
  • Develop internal and external customer relationships, including with source inspection, by building trust and collaboration. Listen and be prepared to take prompt, appropriate action to address customer requirements.
  • Communicate regularly to team members and supervisors/managers regarding any suggested improvements/enhancements to procedures.
  • May provide training to other employees as needed.
  • Cross train in other departments as necessary to develop cross-functional skill set.
  • Comply with and support all department and corporate policies and procedures, included but not limited to safety, security, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be able to read and comprehend English written instructions, including manufacturing work orders, customer specifications, and shop control documents
  • Manual dexterity (hand/finger/eye coordination) is essential in Final Inspection; ability to use mechanical and electrical measurement and testing tools.
  • The following characteristics are needed: approachable, detail oriented, trustworthy, willing to learn, punctual, self-disciplined, takes direction well, dependable, flexible, team player, professional, self-motivated, manual dexterity, takes pride in work.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks (many repetitive in nature) independently and accurately with limited supervision and in line with critical task deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand component and assembly drawings/blueprints.
  • Computer skills including basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Internet and Email. Comfortable with setting up simple Excel spreadsheets for data entry and basic analysis of data.
  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma / GED, or equivalent experience considered.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred.Previous mechanical and visual inspection experience preferred.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
