ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Tulsa team and advance in a dynamic work environment. The Field Technician performs field observations and begins conducting routine testing of construction materials under direct supervision. This role is primarily field-based and supports project execution by collecting data, documenting site conditions, and assisting with testing activities. The Field Technician develops foundational technical skills and familiarity with construction practices while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.
Responsibilities
  • Performs field observation, testing, and sampling of soil, aggregates, and concrete under supervision
  • Assists with construction materials testing activities on project sites
  • Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
  • Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
  • Assists with preparation and submission of daily field reports
  • Supports basic calculations and data entry related to testing results
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining field equipment
  • Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment
  • Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested
  • Performs other field and project support duties as assigned

  • Obtain basic certifications applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy
  • If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, and reading comprehension)
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented work ethic
  • Very limited to no knowledge of CMT principles and testing standards
  • Basic math skills and data entry ability
  • Ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret plans (developing)
  • Basic proficiency with electronic devices (tablets, phones, laptops)
  • Ability to work effectively with supervisors, peers, and clients
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs)
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and follow all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policies
