We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist (Mill & Lathe) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to detailed technical drawings and specifications
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Program CNC equipment using G-code or conversational programming languages to produce accurate parts
- Perform routine inspections of machined components using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Monitor machine operations for quality, efficiency, and safety, making adjustments as necessary during production runs
- Conduct preventative maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Document production activities, machine settings, and inspection results accurately in logs and reports
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machining centers or lathes in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials used in precision manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files with accuracy
- Familiarity with CNC programming languages such as G-code or conversational programming tools
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety standards
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues promptly
- Basic computer skills for programming input, data entry, and record keeping
Work Environment
This position is performed in a precision manufacturing environment with exposure to machine tools, metal chips, coolants, moderate noise levels, and moving equipment. Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
