Texas Instruments is seeking an Engineering Section Manager.  This role provides leadership to both the process and equipment team within a particular engineering 'section'.  In this role, you will oversee the activities related to the technical support, maintenance and sustaining engineering functions in a product manufacturing area. You may also plan and direct implementation of equipment and process modifications to improve tool uptime, production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. You may also ensure the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.  Additionally, you will select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related Engineering degrees
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Experience managing/supervising a team

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
