Position Summary:
The Class A Local CDL Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods between designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistent delivery schedules while providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a Class A CDL vehicle (automatic day cab).
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.
  • Transport loads between New Castle, DE, Middletown, NY, and Essex, MD as assigned.
  • Ensure proper loading, transport, and unloading of freight.
  • Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and complete all required documentation accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and customers.
  • Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company policies.
  • Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and in good working condition.
  • Uphold professionalism and strong customer service standards.

Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Minimum of 3 years of Class A driving experience.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Valid DOT Medical Card.
  • Registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
  • Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in routes or schedules.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
