Local CDL Driver

The Local CDL Driver would be responsible for assisting with day-to-day duties in our water treatment plant handling chemicals (which can be hazardous in nature). We are looking for a highly motivated individual that is equipped with their Class A or B CDL License and Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements.

Essential Job Functions

  • Pick up and/or deliver loads on time in a safe and efficient manner
  • Follow all safety regulations, MSDS, and PPE requirements when working around chemicals.
  • Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
  • Use forklift or pallet jack to retrieve designated packaging items for the batch being pulled as well loading or unloading trucks.
  • Ability to operate computers/tablet.
  • Must follow standard instructions to measure or weigh chemicals into designated containers.
  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Complete other duties and special projects upon request.

Education

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience

Required: 2-3 years' experience in over the road driver

Preferred: 3+ year' experience in hauling hazardous material

Position Requirements

  • Class A or B CDL License
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Unrestricted employment authorization to work in the US
  • Proven clean safety and driving record
  • Project a professional appearance with the ability to represent our company in a positive manner to our customers and associates
  • Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
