Job description

Position Summary

The CDL Class B Driver is responsible for transporting scaffolding, access equipment, and related materials to and from job sites. This role combines professional driving responsibilities with hands-on loading, unloading, and material handling duties. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles to transport scaffolding and equipment to job sites.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor as needed.
  • Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure equipment is transported safely and efficiently.
  • Follow delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and job site personnel.
  • Assist with material organization and inventory as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class B license.
  • Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
