Local AZ Drivers are professional truck drivers in Canada who hold an AZ license, allowing them to operate tractor-trailers and other large commercial vehicles. They typically work within a specific geographic area, such as a city or region, rather than making long-haul trips across provinces or countries. Local AZ Drivers are responsible for transporting goods between warehouses, distribution centers, and customer locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Their duties often include loading and unloading cargo, inspecting vehicles for safety, and maintaining accurate delivery records.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Local AZ driver, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Local AZ Driver, you need a valid AZ (Class 1) commercial driver's license, a clean driving record, and knowledge of local routes and transport regulations. Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs), GPS navigation, and basic vehicle maintenance tools is typically required. Reliability, strong communication, and time management are standout soft skills for this role. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring timely, safe deliveries and maintaining compliance with transportation laws.

What are some common challenges Local AZ drivers face during their daily routes, and how can these be managed?

Local AZ Drivers often encounter challenges such as navigating urban traffic congestion, dealing with tight delivery schedules, and safely maneuvering large vehicles in confined spaces. Effective time management, familiarity with local routes, and strong communication with dispatch and customers can help address these challenges. Many companies also provide ongoing training and support to help drivers stay updated on safety regulations and best practices, making it easier to adapt to changes and maintain high performance.

The Opportunity:
The Loan Servicing Manager will lead the launch and ongoing development of Brick City Capital's in-house servicing platform. This role will be instrumental in implementing our initiative to transition loan servicing operations from external parties to an internally managed, borrower-first experience.
This individual will be responsible for building the department's operational backbone-overseeing servicing tasks, coordinating third-party vendors, managing borrower communications, and maintaining investor reporting standards.
You will be the key driver in turning servicing into a profit center and strategic function, helping Brick City retain customer relationships, generate repeat business, and deliver top-tier experiences to both borrowers and note buyers. You will proactively monitor EPD risk and aggressively encouraging borrower payments to mitigate direct financial implications.
What you'll do:
Servicing Department Buildout
  • Design and implement scalable servicing operations tailored to DSCR and business-purpose loan portfolios
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to transition note buyers to in-house servicing
  • Onboard and manage vendor relationships for payment processing, escrow administration, collections, and more
  • Develop and own SOPs for servicing workflows including loan onboarding, escrow, payoffs, and investor remittance

Customer Service & Borrower Retention
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrower servicing inquiries and escalations
  • Train future team members on servicing agreements, loan documents, and customer engagement
  • Establish and manage processes for proactive borrower outreach-e.g., post-payment reserve depletion and at 3+ year intervals for repeat loan opportunities

Vendor & Technology Management
  • Select and implement third-party vendors for payment processing, escrow (tax & insurance), and collections
  • Ensure vendor contracts cover all servicing obligations (e.g., flood insurance verification, escrow analysis)
  • Oversee technology integration between LOS, CRM (Salesforce), and servicing systems

Compliance, Legal & Oversight
  • Maintain regulatory compliance across all servicing activities, including bankruptcy and foreclosure workflows
  • Coordinate with legal and local counsel on sensitive foreclosure/REO matters and borrower protection protocols

Investor Reporting & Remittance
  • Design and deliver standardized monthly reports and fund remittances to note buyers
  • Establish a framework for ad hoc reporting requests and determine fee structure for customizations
  • Support internal stakeholders with servicing performance analytics

Collections & Payoff Processing
  • Oversee early-stage collections (up to 60 days delinquent), leveraging broker relationships to drive resolution
  • Create escalation and default prevention processes in partnership with vendors
  • Ensure payoff quotes, lien releases, and closing documentation are accurate and completed timely

Team Leadership & Growth
  • Lead day-to-day servicing operations as the department's founding team member
  • Collaborate with Asset Management leadership to scale the team as the portfolio grows (analysts, junior analysts)
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of servicing staff over time

Authorized Remote Locations: AZ, CA, CT, FL, IN, NJ, NY, and TX
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000/year (Exempt/Salary)
What you will bring to the table:
  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, ideally in DSCR, non-QM, or business-purpose lending
  • Demonstrated ability to build servicing functions and manage vendor-driven servicing models
  • In-depth knowledge of escrow, collections, payoff, and investor remittance workflows
  • Strong understanding of servicing contracts, borrower documentation, and investor agreements
  • Experience managing servicing tech stacks and integrating with CRM/LOS systems (e.g., Salesforce, Mortgage Automator)
  • Proven leadership and project management skills; able to execute while planning for scale
  • Drive to build a best-in-class servicing department
  • High EQ and excellent communication; borrower-first and note-holder-aligned mindset

What we prefer to find:
  • Experience standing up servicing departments or migrating servicing in-house
  • Familiarity with key servicing vendors (FCI, Petra, Lereta, Allied, CoreLogic)

What we look for in all our staff:
  • A demonstrated track record of winning; we never stop at "just enough"
  • An insatiable eagerness to continuously learn and to be coached; we are lifelong learners and always make ourselves available to others to teach us something new
  • A possession of strong entrepreneurial spirit; we have a burning passion for building something great out of nothing
  • A big vision for themselves and those around them; we always strive to be the best version of ourselves and help those around us do the same
  • An unwavering sense of integrity; an individual who roots oneself with a core belief that how one does anything is how one does everything
