Job description

WALKER RESPONSIBITIES: Gotham Logistics Part-time Foot Delivery Courier/ Walker positions are to deliver Amazon packages throughout Manhattan.
We need reliable, independent, flexible, hard workers who pay attention to details, can quickly problem solve a wide range of situations, and win in a fast-paced environment!
Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, communicate effectively, and are ready to get the job done. Successful Walkers enjoy walking and working outside and care deeply about customer expectations and satisfaction.

What is an Amazon delivery service partner?

Amazon has partnered with local Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), independent delivery organizations that help Amazon deliver thousands of packages to customers every day. As an employee of an Amazon delivery service partner (DSP), you will work directly for the DSP that operates out of a local Amazon delivery station.

Delivery Walker Associate Responsibilities:

  • Load hand trucks and deliver packages (up to 50 lbs.) on foot in all weather conditions, efficiently, safely and punctually
  • Follow strict safety standards and practices throughout all delivery stages from package pickup, transport and delivery
  • Operate an electronic device/mobile phone for GPS and daily records of deliveries via the Amazon Flex app
  • Contact the customers, when necessary, in order to deliver their packages in a safe location/follow their direction
  • Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
  • You can expect to work between 3-6 hours a day
  • You can expect to report to the general area of Downtown Manhattan (Soho, NoHo, East Village, West Villate)
  • We provide on-the-job training so that all our employees feel confident on the streets and at the doorsteps of customers.

Delivery Walker Associate Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older
  • Must be able to read and speak English, for safety reasons
  • Have a valid, non-expired State ID or Driver's License (New York City cards are NOT acceptable)
  • Must be physically capable of moving boxes up to 50 lbs. and push a large hand cart throughout the streets on Manhattan, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Consent to a drug test. Marijuana is NOT tested for drug screening.
  • Familiarity with a smart phone as you will need to communicate constantly with your driver/dispatchers and use digital apps for delivering packages
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player. Come to work on time and be respectful towards your managers and colleagues
  • Must be willing to work on holidays and weekends, when needed.
