Job description


GFL is looking for a Flusher Trucker Operator/Labourer to support our facility in Port Perry!

This position is affiliated with LIUNA Local 183

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a GFL combo flusher/vac truck.

  • Completing daily traffic plans.

  • Vehicle and equipment maintenance and safety.

  • Ensure all required equipment is available and working effectively.

  • Ensure trucks and work areas are clean and orderly.

  • Maintain excellent customer relations.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Must be able to work following hours: 6:00am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required during busy periods

  • Experience with running combo Flusher/Vac truck

  • DZ license required

  • Understand instructions and effectively carry out tasks.

  • Display flexibility, confidentiality and be tactful.

  • Highly driven, focused and self-motivated.

  • Able to multi-task.

  • Must work well in a team environment.

  • Working at Heights, Confined Space an asset

  • Able to travel out of town during the week (25-30%)

  • Affiliated with LIUNA Local 183. Union pay rates, benefit and pension plan.
