Job description

The Commercial Banking Administrative Assistant position provides assistance to Senior Commercial Banking Officers (Sr. CBO's) in the lending process with prospective and existing commercial loan clients. They will assist in the loan underwriting process and the entire loan process from origination to closing. They will assist in coordinating loan closings with borrowers, attorneys and title companies as needed. They will follow-up as needed for ongoing financial information, collateral reporting, borrowing base certificates, construction draw requests and payment collection activities. The Assistant will be required to have strong customer relations skills.
Requirements
Job Responsibilities
1. They will have direct contact with clients to gather financial information, legal documentation for underwriting, prepare New Loan Request Worksheets, prepare Appraisal Request forms and other documents needed to deliver to Credit Analysts. (25%)
2. Assist in the preparation of Term Sheet proposals and other correspondence for clients and prospects with the direction of Sr. CBO's. (15%)
3. Communicate with existing and prospective clients to maintain strong relationships. Manage and monitor on-going financial reporting, audit requests, documentation needed for participant banks, assist in hazard/flood insurance requirements and construction monitoring activities. Answer incoming calls and assist clients with loan issues. Review, track and follow up with customers for exceptions and ticklers within the loan process. (35%)
4. Assist the Sr. CBO's in review and preparing the Loan Closing Checklist to prepare for loan closings. Coordinate required documents needed for closing with borrowers, attorneys and title companies. (20%)
5. Assist Sr. CBO's in the application and processing of SBA 7A and SBA 504 loans. (5%)
6. Other Duties as Assigned.
