Loan Partner Remote information

What is a loan partner remote?

Loan Partners (Remote) are professionals who assist mortgage loan officers and lenders with processing and managing loan applications from a remote location. Their responsibilities typically include gathering borrower documentation, coordinating with clients and underwriters, ensuring compliance, and supporting the loan process from initial application to closing. By working remotely, they provide flexibility and efficiency to both clients and the lending team, using technology to communicate and manage documents securely. This role is essential in facilitating smooth loan transactions and improving customer satisfaction.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a loan partner remote?

To thrive as a Loan Partner (Remote), you need a solid understanding of mortgage processes, loan documentation, and lending regulations, typically supported by experience in mortgage lending or finance. Familiarity with loan origination systems (LOS) like Encompass, CRM platforms, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are crucial technical requirements. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities help you coordinate effectively with clients, loan officers, and underwriters. These skills ensure efficient loan processing, regulatory compliance, and a seamless client experience in a remote environment.

How does a loan partner remote typically collaborate with loan officers and processors to ensure a smooth loan application process?

As a Loan Partner working remotely, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting loan officers by managing documentation, conducting initial borrower screenings, and coordinating with processors to facilitate timely closings. Effective communication is essential, often utilizing digital tools and CRM systems to track application progress and address any issues quickly. While you may face challenges such as coordinating across time zones and maintaining clear communication virtually, most teams hold regular video meetings and use collaborative platforms to stay aligned. This setup allows for flexibility while ensuring you remain an integral part of the loan origination team.

Job description

Are you an experienced Mortgage Loan Partner looking for a stable position as a Loan Partner Pre-Approval Specialist?

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Loan Partner (LP2) Pre-Approval Specialist to manage borrower prequalification, pre-approvals, and pipeline execution for a high-performing mortgage team.

If you have a passion for qualifying clients and want to be part of a great team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The LP2 Pre-Approval Specialist role plays a critical role in ensuring loans are structured properly, communicated clearly, and closed on time. This role works closely with the Loan Officer, borrowers, processors, underwriters, and third-party partners to maintain on-time closings while delivering a concierge-level borrower and referral partner experience.

Here’s our ideal applicant:

  •  A proactive, experienced Loan Partner Pre-Approval Specialist who takes ownership and gets things done

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced mortgage environment and takes pride in being someone the team, clients, and referral partners can count on

  • Communicates quickly and professionally, knows when to pick up the phone instead of relying on email, and can explain mortgage information in a way borrowers understand. Doesn’t wait for problems to become urgent. Identifies potential issues, communicates them early, and helps find solutions

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining a high level of accountability and communication with our team. Takes ownership of their work, follows through on commitments, keeps systems and databases current, and makes sure important details don't fall through the cracks

  • Adaptable. As the team grows, priorities and responsibilities may shift; willing to step outside the traditional LP2 lane when needed to help the team succeed. Motivated to continue learning and growing rather than simply maintaining the status quo

  • Personable and professional. The voice clients remember

  • A team player who supports the loan officer and communicates with confidence

  • Detail-driven, accountable, values accuracy, and is proud of their work

Compensation:

$70,000 - $85,000

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties of this Position

Prequalify

  • Serve as an available resource for referral partners when the Loan Officer is unavailable

  • Engage in soft qualification conversations to help assess general borrower readiness and scenario viability

  • Answer referral partner questions such as Condo warrantability, Bank statement borrower scenarios, recasting, and general loan structure questions

  • Communicate effectively with all referral partners (Realtors, financial advisors, builders, and other partners) using clear, accurate, and compliant language

Pre-Approve

  • Accurately pre-approve qualified borrowers

  • Prepare payment and scenario requests

  • Proactively engage pre-approved buyers

  • Communicate effectively with referral partners

Pipeline Management

  • Onboard all new contracts for rate lock consultation

  • Submit applications to processing for disclosures

  • Execute borrower updates, pre-closing, and funding calls

  • Perform daily pipeline “gauge checks”

  • Attend pipeline meetings and milestone reviews

  • Deliver consistent borrower and Realtor updates

  • Review Closing Disclosures for accuracy

  • Conduct pre-closing and congratulatory funding calls

  • Provide post-closing support and urgent after-hours assistance

  • Ensure loans close on time

  • Resolve loan issues prior to LO escalation

Additional Role Expectations

  • Maintain high professionalism in all written and verbal communication

  • Act as a concierge between borrowers and business partners

  • Consistently exceed borrower and referral partner expectations

Qualifications:
  • Hold at least one active valid state MLO license through the NMLS

  • Minimum 3-5 years of mortgage loan officer assistant, processing, or origination experience

  • Proficient in DU/DO, LP, and investor guidelines

  • Experience with major LOS platforms-Encompass and Blend

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organization, prioritization, time management, and follow-up

  • Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems and software quickly and independently

  • Ability to collaborate across departments

  • Completion of regulatory and compliance training
