Job Details: 

Princeton Quarry - Rogers Group - Princeton, KY

Full Time Day Shift: Approximate shift time of 5:45 AM-4PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend hours necessary. 

Wages: $23/hour

Princeton Quarry is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking a Loader Operator to load out rail cars for our operation located in Princeton, KY. We offer competitive pay starting at $23/hr. with health, dental, vision, 401K, short term disability, long term disability and life insurance benefits. We also offer a variety of safety equipment, paid holidays, and paid vacation time.

The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

  • Load rail cars accurately according to customer specifications and weight requirements.

  • Monitor rail car placement and coordinate with crews and supervisors during loading operations.

  • Perform daily pre-operational inspections of mobile equipment and promptly report mechanical deficiencies.

  • Monitor material quality and communicate any concerns to supervisors.

  • Perform routine housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe plant environment.

  • Assist maintenance personnel during scheduled plant outages and repairs.

  • Follow all MSHA, company safety, environmental, and operating procedures.

  • Lockout/Tagout equipment when performing maintenance or cleaning activities.

  • Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment (front-end loader, articulated haul truck, dozer, excavator, or similar) preferred.
  • Previous experience in mining, quarry, aggregate, construction, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety with the ability to recognize and eliminate hazardous conditions.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment in confined work areas while maintaining awareness of surrounding personnel and equipment.
  • Self-starter/ ability to work without close supervision
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to frequently climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated work platforms.
  • Ability to safely enter and exit heavy equipment multiple times throughout the day.
  • Basic welding skills preferred, but not required
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening  
  • Overtime is required as needed and may include Saturdays
