Full Time Material Handler Needed (New Hope)

Small company in the New Hope area, is looking for additional help in our warehouse. We distribute lawn & garden products, decorative shelving, staircase & railing systems to independent retailers, throughout the United States. We need someone to handle all movement of products at our fast-paced warehouse.

Responsibilities for Material Handler

· Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products

  • Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and packing areas
  • Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, and packing them
  • Operate reach trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to move freight
  • Assist with cycle counts
  • Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines

Qualifications for Material Handler

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
  • Certification to ride forklift truck preferred
  • Must be able to work well in a team
  • Ability to read, write, and to follow instructions, and work independently
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software
  • Hours are 7:30 am to 4 pm
