Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

This role focuses on operating a sit-down forklift to move, stage, and prepare materials for shipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. You will spend most of your day on the forklift, supporting shipping and receiving operations, and performing general material handling tasks to keep inventory and orders flowing efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a sit-down Drexel forklift safely and efficiently for approximately 70% of the workday.
  • Pull customer orders accurately and stage them at the dock in preparation for shipment.
  • Unload incoming trucks and move materials to designated storage or production areas.
  • Wrap pallets securely to ensure products remain stable and protected during transport.
  • Perform material handling tasks such as picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
  • Assist with inventory activities, including counting, organizing, and maintaining stock locations.
  • Support order picking and packaging to meet shipping deadlines and quality standards.
  • Work off the forklift as needed, including lifting materials up to 40 lbs and performing general warehouse duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with facility guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency operating a sit-down forklift, preferably Drexel or similar models.
  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience in a material handling or similar role.
  • Experience with order picking, staging, and pallet wrapping.
