This position involves the preparation work necessary for delivery of merchandise as well as basic warehouse functions. The position will occasionally require the employee to work overtime hours.

Essential Duties:

  • Unwraps and assembles furniture at the assigned dock.
  • Cleans and inspects merchandise for errors and defects.
  • Touch-up merchandise as needed
  • Re-wraps merchandise for delivery
  • Stages merchandise for delivery truck loading
  • Assist with Customer Pick-ups (CPUs)
  • Unload Receiving inventory containers and trucks
  • Completes other duties as assigned by warehouse leadership team

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
