Job description

Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Promote safety in the workplace and work to all safe practices. Drive and perform daily checks on forklift. Provide daily inventories as required. Load and unload trucks per dock windows. Review material for any damage while unloading. Scan labels and verify accuracy. Store and retrieve finished goods, or purchased parts per FIFO process. Store material in assigned storage locations, and ensure proper stack heights are followed, and bins are properly nested. Enter data into Plex as required. Consolidate and organize material. Verify Bills of Lading vs. requirements. Assist fellow team members. Embrace and promote adherence to standardized work methods. Keep work area clean at all times, and adhere to 5S standards. Assist with disposing of cardboard, and trash into compactors. Load wooden, and plastic skids as required.
