Job description

Loader Operator

Fenix Parts is one of the nation's leading automotive recyclers, with more than 25 years in business and 30+ locations across the U.S. As we continue to grow, we're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in their work to join our team.

The Loader Operator is responsible for safely operating loaders and other assigned equipment to support daily yard and production operations. This is not an equipment-only position. The Loader Operator will also perform ground-level, hands-on work throughout the shift, including material handling, yard organization, cleanup, vehicle and parts movement, and assisting other operational areas as needed.

Job Snapshot:

  • Perform ground-level work as needed in addition to operating loaders and other equipment.
  • Assist with moving, sorting, staging, and organizing vehicles, parts, materials, and scrap.
  • Perform general yard cleanup and housekeeping, including removal of debris and maintaining safe, clear work areas.
  • Assist other yard and production employees with physical tasks as operational needs require.
  • Enter and exit equipment frequently throughout the shift to complete ground-level duties.
  • Follow all safety procedures while working around vehicles, heavy equipment, and active production areas.
  • Perform other general labor and yard duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Automotive background and heavy equipment experience
  • Previous heavy equipment operating, general maintenance and understanding of mechanical equipment
  • Able to lift 75 lbs. continuously throughout the day
  • Basic computer skills
