Live Production Loader operator (30308)

Essential Functions and Methods

CDL required. Responsible for pre-tripping, post-tripping, loading, unloading, and transporting fork lift on lowboy to predetermined farm. Fork lift driver will then take empty cages, from trailers, into chicken houses set empty cage down, pick up full cage bring them out of houses and place onto trailers. This should be done in approximately 45 minutes per load. Lift driver is required to follow all SOP for Live Haul. Experience a plus.

Sitting on Lift for extended periods of time.

Mental Aspects

Be aware of surrounding at all time, and use extreme caution when maneuvering Fork Lift.

Be alert, other employees will be working in close vicinity to the Lift inside and outside of the chicken house.

Must be able to think and react quickly.

Time on Job

Normally 40 to 50 hrs per week.

Lift driver normally loads between 7 and 13 loads per day.
