Loader Helper Jobs in Milwaukee, WI (NOW HIRING)

The Boat Loader is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and staging boats, trailers, and production materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This position operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to transport completed boats and components while ensuring product quality and safety standards are maintained. The Boat Loader works closely with Production, Shipping, Quality, and Logistics teams to support daily manufacturing and shipping operations.

• Safely load and unload finished boats, trailers, and large components using forklifts, overhead cranes, or other approved lifting equipment.
• Transport boats between production departments, storage areas, inspection stations, and shipping locations.
• Stage finished boats according to production schedules and shipping priorities.
• Perform visual inspections of boats before and after movement to identify and report any damage or quality concerns.
• Secure boats properly for transportation within the facility and during shipment preparation.
• Assist with loading customer orders onto transport trailers while ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
• Verify shipping paperwork, production orders, and boat identification numbers prior to loading.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe loading, storage, and staging areas.
• Perform daily preoperational inspections of forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions, product damage, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Assist production departments with moving materials and supporting workflow as needed.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies, including proper lifting and equipment operating procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience loading trailers or handling oversized products is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes or become certified upon hire.
• Basic understanding of shipping and inventory processes preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with multiple departments.
• Dependable, selfmotivated, and safety conscious.
JOB EXPECTATIONS:
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
• Frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally more with assistance or mechanical lifting devices.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, cranes, and other powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to moving equipment, machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Frequent interaction with forklifts, cranes, trailers, and large finished boats.
• Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet production and shipping schedules.
