Job Summary
MOR PPM Inc. is interested in hiring a forklift operator in Aiken, SC. The Forklift/Loader Operator is responsible for the proper care and operation of equipment such as forklifts and loaders and for maintaining a safe working environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensures equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts
  • Operates company equipment safely
  • Assists with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles
  • Records vehicle information accurately and legibly
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor
  • Follows yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.)
  • Must be able to load and unload vehicles as required
  • Must be able to pass training and safety requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service attitude and skills
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate basic equipment
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • HS diploma or GED preferred

Required Experience
  • At least two years of work experience
  • One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
