Job description

Ale-8-One Bottling Company is seeking qualified candidates for afull timeWarehouse Helper and Truck Loader for second shift (12:00pm-8:30pm). This position will manually build full pallets of product for our bulk deliveries. These hand-built pallets are created with multiple products and built from scratch which makes this highly physical work. The warehouse helper will also load and unload our conventional and bulk trucks with a forklift, ensuring accurate loads for the next day's sales. Work duties also include food safety GMP activity, daily clean-up and other tasks as needed or assigned daily.

This position is an entry point into our Warehouse and Plant and requires excellent attendance, workplace behavior, and basic math and counting skills.Teamwork as well as flexibility in daily work activity and assignments are key competencies required for this position.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum 2 years work experience and preferably experience in a warehouse or manufacturing/ industrial environment and operating machinery or equipment. 1 year Forklift experience preferred.

Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Building full pallets of product by hand from the ground up to pallet tag specifications daily. Example of this work load is employees moving by hand- 40 (32 lbs each) cases of product onto each pallet for an average of 60 pallets / day.
  • Read pallet tag and truck load specifications in order to build pallets and load truck and trailers accurately.
  • Safely operate a forklift and machinery/ equipment.
  • Load and unload side loader trucks and tractor trailers with a forklift.
  • Follow and perform all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices for Food Safety).
  • Perform all clean-up activities, including sweeping, mopping, trash clean up, etc.
  • Use safe Lifting and Carrying techniques, including performing appropriate stretches. Participating in the safe lifting/ carrying training and observations, as well as coaching with our third party on safety.
  • Must be able to consistently perform the highly physical activity: continuous standing, grasping, and handling of materials and frequent walking, bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, overhead reaching, lifting, carrying and handling heavy weight. Frequent lifting of heavy weight, including Returnable bottles.
  • Exposure to warm and cold weather conditions and temperatures
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and comply with PPE requirements
