The term 'Live' jobs typically refers to positions that involve real-time, on-the-spot activities or services, such as live broadcasting, event hosting, or technical support during live events. These roles require professionals to work during actual events or broadcasts, handling situations as they unfold. 'Live' jobs often demand strong communication skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to perform under pressure, since there is little room for error when events are happening in real time. Examples include live news anchors, live event technicians, and live stream moderators.

What challenges might I face as a live event coordinator, and how can I prepare for them?

As a Live Event Coordinator, one of the main challenges is managing last-minute changes or unexpected issues, such as technical difficulties or scheduling conflicts. Job description

Live Producer
Brand Apart is looking for a Live Producer to help plan, manage, and execute high-quality live productions — from live events to hybrid and streaming experiences. This role sits at the intersection of creative vision and operational execution, both owning select projects end-to-end and supporting on larger, more complex productions. This is a hands-on role that requires equal parts creative instinct, logistical precision, and technical expertise, with a calm, solutions-oriented presence in fast-moving environments.
_Primary Purpose
The Live Producer's primary responsibility is to plan, manage, and execute live productions at a high level of quality and consistency — owning assigned projects from initial brief through final delivery while serving as a reliable production partner on larger, more complex shows.
_Responsibilities
_ Reports to the Senior Live Producer and collaborates with the broader Video Team, client-facing leads, and production crew.
_ Owns mid-scale live productions end-to-end, including pre-production planning, shoot-day execution, and post-event wrap.
_ Supports on larger productions, taking ownership of specific work streams such as scheduling, crew coordination, or vendor management.
_ Develops and maintains budgets, run-of-show documents, shot lists, and crew calls across both owned and supported projects.
_ Partners with Brand Apart verticals (Project Leads, Video Team, Experience Team, Design Team) and clients to align creative vision with production reality.
_ Serves as lead producer on assigned productions, managing crew, talent, and technical teams on-site or remotely in real time.
_ Calls shows with confidence, directing timing, cues, and content flow in coordination with directors, operators, and talent.
_ Anticipates and troubleshoots technical or logistical issues on the fly, maintaining composure under pressure regardless of role.
_ Maintains organized, accessible show asset management across productions, establishing consistent naming conventions, file structures, and handoff protocols.
_ Contributes to building and refining production workflows, templates, and best practices for live formats.
_ Maintains strong vendor and crew relationships, supporting efficient resourcing across both owned and team-wide productions.
_Requirements
_ 4–5 years of experience in live production or live events, with demonstrated ability to both lead projects independently and contribute as part of a larger production team.
_ Solid understanding of live production workflows, including multi-camera setups, streaming platforms, and graphics playback software.
_ Experience calling shows — confident managing cues, timing, and live content flow in real time.
_ Experience managing production budgets, building run-of-show documents, and coordinating crew and talent logistics.
_ Strong working knowledge of playback software and how it integrates into live production environments.
_ Strong communicator who can manage client relationships and internal teams with equal clarity, in both lead and support capacities.
_ Available to travel approximately 15% of the time for event and experience work.
_Attributes of a Successful Candidate
_ Calm under pressure with sharp problem-solving instincts in high-stakes, real-time environments.
_ Collaborative team player who brings energy and professionalism to every production, regardless of their role on it.
_ Constantly looks for ways to improve how the Live Team works — building templates, standards, and workflows that make productions more organized and repeatable.
_ Background in agency, branded content, or corporate events a plus.
_ Familiarity with graphic playback software (e.g., Disguise, PVP) and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana) a plus.
_ Established network of freelance crew, AV vendors, and production partners a plus.
_Culture
We know culture drives everything which is why we intentionally invest in our people and strive to create a workplace that is inspiring, incorporates diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and is always rooted in care. Our compensation is competitive. Benefits include 401k, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, generous paid time off, and professional development.
_Location & Work Environment
This role is based in Atlanta, GA, and follows a hybrid work model that combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. Candidates must be located in or willing to relocate to the Atlanta area and able to attend in-person workdays as required by our hybrid office policy.
