WBRE/WYOU seeks to hire a streaming content producerto produce and manage content for digital platforms, including a connected television app, YouTube channel and website live streams. This is a technical and creative role working closely with the digital team, newsroom leaders, reporters and engineering team.
- Content creation:Work collaboratively with the team of video journalists and reporters to create content that's optimized for multiple platforms, including broadcast television, websites and social media
- Contentcuration:Scheduleconnected television app programming by crafting blocks of engaging content. Manage YouTube strategy to increase audience size and loyalty.
- Organization:Organizesource materials into multimedia pieces and aggregated video streams.
- Live Stream Production: Assist with live streams of breaking news, daily events and pre-planned programming.
- Guest interviewmanagement:Bookand produce conversations with invited guests, both virtual and in-person.
Requirements & Skills:
- Degree in journalism, video production or other fields related to media content management
- Experience producing streaming and social video content
- Understanding of digital platforms, trends and audience behaviors
- Knowledge of WordPress, OBS/vMix, Akta or similar digital content management systems
