Job description

General Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Local candidates only. Candidates must live within daily commute range of stated city. Location: West Plains, MO. Schedule: 1 day per week. Office: OWN OFFICE REQUIRED. You must have your own brick-and-mortar office in West Plains, MO. The office must be within 50 miles of the city. Veterans travel to your office for their examsโ€”VES does not provide clinic space at this location.

VES - Veterans Evaluation Services - a private contractor hired by the US Veterans Affairs to conduct medical disability examinations. These examsโ€”often called Compensation and Pension (C&P) examsโ€”help the VA determine service connection and disability ratings for veterans. They are hiring OHC to fill 1 day per week in West Plains, MO for a General Medicine Nurse Practitioner. This process consists of OHC finding a provider who already has a brick-and-mortar office in West Plains, MO where veterans can come to them for their exams. The office must be within 50 miles of the city. Presentations must include the address the provider is coming from. Please see the list of requirements needed to present and credential for VES.

  • All items listed as presentation, must be in the presentation for them to look at the candidate.
  • All Presentations need to have address they are coming from as they have to live in with certain radius of the city listed.
  • Items that are listed as credentialing are due within 3 days of being accepted (this is a nonnegotiable process)
    • Online training link sent directly to provider after credentialing approves application (approx. 8-10 hrs. of compensated training) MUST be completed within 7 business days โ€“ if not they will be deactivating the provider
      • This is paid โ€“ we bill $450 for this training
    • Scheduling the provider happens after all trainings and credentialing is completed
      • Virtual pre-Exam orientation and 1st exams are scheduled
