Job Title: Part-Time 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Instructor
Job Description:
MonmouthFlow is seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time instructor to lead our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course. The course spans 8-10 weeks and is designed to provide trainees with a comprehensive understanding of yoga principles, techniques, and teaching methodologies. The instructor will guide trainees through an immersive learning experience, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become confident and effective yoga teachers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program over 8-10 weeks.
  • Provide in-depth instruction on yoga postures, anatomy, philosophy, teaching techniques, and ethics.
  • Conduct practical sessions, including asana practice, teaching practicums, and hands-on adjustments.
  • Offer personalized feedback and support to trainees to foster their growth and development.
  • Ensure the training content aligns with MonmouthFlow and the Yoga Alliance requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all trainees.
  • Monitor and assess trainee progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Stay updated with current yoga practices, trends, and research to enhance training content.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the training program as needed.
  • Create a personal connection with each student
  • Create a class experience that shows your personality and skills
  • Set up the classroom appropriately: Props, Mat Spacing, Music, and lighting

Qualifications:
  • Certified Yoga Instructor with a minimum of 500 hours of training.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience, with prior experience in leading teacher training programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of yoga philosophy, anatomy, and teaching methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate trainees.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development in yoga.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Genuine ability to connect with complete strangers on a personal level
  • Demonstrate the ability to teach a safe, fun, and creative class with a genuine interest in student success, whether novice or seasoned practitioner

Physical Requirements
  • Must be physically able to walk through the classroom freely in order to demo postures and transitions in a heated room, monitor students' movements, provide them with hands-on adjustments (as needed and if desired by students), and facilitate dynamic, energizing, empowering, and fun yoga and fitness classes
  • Able to demonstrate exercises relevant to class style, as is frequently required.
  • Physically able to lift and carry 1-10 lb. equipment
  • Adjust and operate the needed equipment.
  • Strong verbal skills (proficient in speaking and understanding English)

Schedule:
  • Part-time position with flexible hours.
  • Availability to lead weekend sessions and occasional evenings as required by the training schedule.
