Job description

Applicants must be a minimum of 14 years of age or in the ninth grade. This form must be completed by
the applicant.


Upon completion of this application a CORI Authorization and CORI Request will be sent via email and must be completed. ID is required (school ID, passport, or license accepted).


Volunteer opportunities are available with this department year-round, and are unpaid. Applicants may be asked to interview with staff.


Haunted House Volunteer Opportunities:


There will be a orientation period before the Haunted House to go over all the roles! All volunteer hours including orientation can be counted towards your total hours to graduate.


Tour Guide: Your role is to set the scene for residents that you will be guiding through the Community Center...and most importantly to make it fun and get some scares! You will be provided a script, flashlight, and a Haunted Hosts shirt to make sure everyone stays safe during the tour and will have a tour guide at the back of the group. (6 to 12 volunteers needed)


Actor: Your role is to scare the residents while providing an enjoyable experience. You will be scaring for the 3 different scare levels (Sensory Friendly, Little Monsters, Big Monsters) from 7-9:30pm with breaks in between. (6 to 12 volunteers needed)


Pumpkin Decorating: Your role is to hand out pumpkins to residents as they come into the dining room and to make sure all the arts and craft supplies are stocked. (2-3 volunteers needed)


Movie: Your role is to be in room 237 while the movie is playing to make sure everything runs smooth. (2 volunteers needed)


Photographer: Your role is to take pictures during the evening (pumpkin decorating, costume shots, candids, and more!) You will be provided a DSLR camera to use during the night. (1-2 volunteers needed)


Welcome Table: Your role will be to greet and direct people to the registration table, tour guide line, pumpkin decorating, or movie. (1-2 volunteers needed)
