Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Quality Management (QM) Test Analyst to support and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for the Connecticut Child Support Modernization initiative. This is a hands-on testing role responsible for ensuring the system meets business, operational, and federal requirements through comprehensive test planning, execution, defect validation, and quality assurance.

The successful candidate will work closely with Child Support program staff, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to validate business functionality and ensure the delivered solution meets the highest standards of quality. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, strong critical thinking, and a meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate has prior hands-on experience supporting UAT for Child Support Modernization implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across Child Support modules and business functions.
  • Develop detailed UAT scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business processes, functional requirements, and user workflows.
  • Perform thorough functional, end-to-end, regression, and validation testing to ensure system quality and business readiness.
  • Accurately document test execution results, identify issues, and create clear, reproducible defect reports.
  • Participate in defect triage meetings, validate defect resolutions, perform retesting, and verify production readiness.
  • Validate system functionality against Child Support policies, business processes, federal regulations, and operational requirements.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, missing requirements, and potential business impacts during testing.
  • Support UAT planning, readiness activities, daily status reporting, metrics collection, and test cycle completion.
  • Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, vendors, and project teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Support statewide implementation activities, production validation, and post-go-live stabilization efforts.
  • Ensure all testing artifacts are complete, accurate, and meet Quality Management standards.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Prior hands-on experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a Child Support Modernization implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Child Support business processes, policies, case management operations, and associated workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute detailed test cases, identify defects, and validate system functionality with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle issues, inconsistencies, and business process gaps.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business users, vendors, technical teams, and project leadership.
  • Must comply with all State policies, security requirements, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with federal OCSE requirements, regulations, and reporting.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, ALM, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-vendor government system implementations.
  • Experience with test planning, requirements traceability, metrics reporting, and Quality Management best practices.
  • Experience with the ProTech Child Support system is a plus but is not required.
