Water Resources Lead
Department: Community Infrastructure
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Reporting To: Mark Chandler
Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000 / year

As a Lead Professional Engineer for Water Resources, you will have the opportunity to be involved in large, multi-discipline projects while developing diverse skill sets.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
  • Lead a project team consisting of engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in the design, modification, analysis, and constructability of water systems
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders
  • Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources
  • Assist in proposal preparation including oral presentations. Also prepare the scope, schedule, and budget for new projects
  • Interface with clients including state and local agencies
  • Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of engineering and construction-related issues
  • Prepare, review, and/or approve proposals, contracts, or cost estimates
  • Negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub-consultants, and clients
  • Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements
  • Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements
  • Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation
  • Take ownership of projects from start to finish

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree
  • Professional Engineering License
  • 8+ years of experience in the water facilities engineering, design or construction fields
  • Ability to manage engineering, design or construction projects
  • Proficiency in Civil3D preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, 2D Modeling, and other applicable software
  • Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members.
  • Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices
  • Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
