PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia.

RN - ED | Location Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Emergency Department (ED) nursing to join our team at a large, busy unit. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling high acuity cases, including trauma and emergency care, at a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center.

Assignment Details
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2100 (negotiable)
  • Shift times: 12-hour shifts from 7A-7P or 7P-7A
  • Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
  • Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12 on a 6-week schedule
  • Holiday expectations: Work one shift of each major holiday (Thanksgiving Day or day after, 12/24 or 12/25, 12/31 or 1/1)
  • Charting system: EPIC
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma emergency room setting
  • Administer medications and drips such as Heparin, Insulin, and Cardene
  • Manage patient care activities with support from CNAs and other staff
  • Engage in hourly rounding and assist with patient transport needs
Qualifications

Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
  • BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) Certification with competency in EKG
  • ACLS Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Certification
  • 2 years of ED RN experience
  • Skills in managing Level 1 trauma cases and administering complex medication drips

Preferred:

  • National certification in Emergency nursing
