Job description

Well respected Insurance Defense Firm located in Boca Raton, Florida with a reputation for being committed to client success is currently seeking a Defense Attorney with experience in 1st Party Property to join their team. This Martindale-Hubbell AV Rated firm offers comprehensive insurance defense, insurance litigation, and insurance bad faith representation.  Ideal candidates will possess excellent writing skills, have experience taking depositions, attending hearings, drafting pleadings and discovery, and can handle a case from inception up to trial.  The option of working remote or a hybrid schedule may be possible but not guaranteed, however, if approved would still need to live in the South Florida area with the ability to come in office when needed and handle in person depositions and court appearances.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3-5 years of 1st Party Property Insurance litigation defense experience
  • Must have an active Florida bar license in good standing
  • Must be a proficient writer with experience preparing pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions, and other court/litigation documents
  • Must have experience preparing for, taking, and defending depositions
  • Must have the ability to interact with attorneys, support staff, opposing counsel, court personnel and clients in a professional, courteous manner
  • Must have the ability to manage an assigned caseload with the ability to prioritize, delegate when necessary, and adhere to deadlines
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail, strong legal research and writing skills
  • Must have knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and be technologically comfortable using case management software and effectively utilize available technology and automation
