While both roles involve working in architecture, a Live In Unlicensed Architect typically assists with projects without formal licensure and may live on-site, often in residential settings. An Intern Architect is a student or recent graduate gaining practical experience under supervision. The main difference lies in licensure status and career stage, with interns focusing on learning and licensure candidates working towards full registration.

Can you work as a live in unlicensed architect?

A live-in unlicensed architect cannot legally perform architectural design or provide professional services that require licensure. Licensing is required to sign and stamp plans, and working without it may lead to legal and professional consequences. Unlicensed individuals can assist with non-licensed tasks under supervision but cannot independently practice architecture.
