Job Description

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Spanish Instructor to lead engaging after-school Spanish enrichment classes for elementary-aged students. The ideal candidate is passionate about language education and enjoys working with young learners in a supportive, structured classroom environment.

****Note: Substitute teacher will fill in when needed (April 15, 22 and 29) and possibly take on the main intructor role if the current instrutor is unable to fulfill their duties.

Responsibilities

  • Teach interactive beginner-level Spanish through games, songs, vocabulary activities, and cultural lessons.
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging classroom environment that supports participation and confidence-building.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with program goals.
  • Supervise students during class transitions, ensuring safety at all times.
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators.
  • Track attendance and report any concerns as needed.

Requirements

  • Prior experience teaching children, tutoring, or leading youth programs.
  • Conversational to fluent Spanish proficiency.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Live Scan background check required.
  • Auto Insurance Requirement (Cajon Valley / El Cajon Only):
  • Must carry a 100/300k auto insurance policy.
  • Proof of coverage required prior to starting.

You will need 100/300k car insurance. If you don't have that you must live in El Cajon or Spring Valley so that we can provide Uber.
