Job description

The Residential Life Operations Coordinator is a live-in optional professional responsible for supporting the daily administrative and operational functions of the Office of Residential Life & Community Standards. With supervision from the Dean of Students, the Operations Coordinator assists with housing operations, student communication, occupancy management, and front office support. The Operations Coordinator will work collaboratively with staff from the Offices of the Residential Life & Community Standards, Facilities, Campus Safety, Student Affairs, and other campus partners to support student success and residential operations.
Essential Duty and Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Residential Life & Community Standards Office.
  • Coordinate housing assignments, room changes, occupancy tracking, and other housing operations.
  • Maintain accurate housing records and student information within the institution's housing management system.
  • Respond to student, parent, and campus community inquiries regarding housing policies, procedures, and services.
  • Co-coordinate administrative processes for student check-in, check-out, key management, and room inspection.
  • Assist with planning and execution of residence hall opening, closing, break housing, and summer housing operations.
  • Monitor departmental email accounts and provide timely responses to inquiries.
  • Coordinate with Facilities and Maintenance regarding work orders and residence hall operational needs.
  • Support Resident Assistants and professional staff with administrative and operational tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, housing procedures, FERPA regulations, and applicable safety standards.
  • Participate in the professional on-call rotation, responding to student crises and emergencies.
  • All other related duties as assigned.
