Job Title: HPI Pilates Instructor

Job Description


Summary

The focus of this position is to provide optimal Pilates instruction to patients and clients in accordance with The Health Performance Institute’s integrative care model. The main objectives of this position include collaborating with clinical rehabilitation staff to promote the modality of Pilates with orthopedic rehabilitation patients, while also building a private client base, leading group Pilates classes, and promoting growth of the Pilates program overall.


Responsibilities

  • Lead group pilates classes of various levels, including mat and equipment-based sessions
  • Provide individualized instruction and corrections to ensure proper form and technique
  • Develop creative and engaging pilates routines to challenge and motivate clients
  • Maintain a clean and organized studio space
  • Uphold our studio's values of inclusivity, positivity, and respect
  • Integrate with physical therapists, trainers, and other wellness professionals
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications/Licensure

  • Certified Pilates Instructor with a reputable certification (e.g., STOTT Pilates, Balanced Body, Polestar Pilates, Merrithew, Power Pilates etc.)
  • CPR/AED certified

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Pilates classes preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of anatomy and biomechanics

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate varying fitness levels and injuries
  • Passion for promoting health and wellness through pilates

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or sit for extended periods of time

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
