Job Description:

Job Description Summary

The Arrow Experience Center is a complex enterprise data center and hybrid multi-cloud environment used to design, build, validate, and maintain technology solutions. The Solution Architect – IBM Infrastructure is responsible for designing, deploying, integrating, and maintaining the enterprise infrastructure that enables IBM technologies within the Arrow Experience Center. This position provides technical leadership across Microsoft, VMware, networking, storage, Linux, OpenShift, and IBM platforms to ensure stable, secure, and scalable environments that support internal engineering teams and customer-facing technical engagements.

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Design, deploy, integrate, and maintain the enterprise infrastructure supporting IBM technologies within the Arrow Experience Center.

  • Engineer and support enterprise lab environments used for IBM software deployment, solution enablement, and technical validation.

  • Manage the lifecycle of enterprise infrastructure including deployment, integration, upgrades, patching, operational support, and documentation.

  • Administer Microsoft enterprise infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Windows Server, and identity services.

  • Deploy and support VMware vSphere, enterprise storage, and virtualization technologies including ESXi, vCenter, Fibre Channel, NFS, and iSCSI.

  • Deploy and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux, OpenShift, IBM Fusion, Hosted Control Planes, and related IBM infrastructure platforms.

  • Integrate and support multi-vendor networking, compute, and storage technologies to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure lab operations.

  • Develop automation, engineering standards, operational procedures, and technical documentation that improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to prepare and maintain enterprise environments supporting demonstrations, evaluations, and technical enablement activities.

What We Are Looking For: 

  • Required qualifications

    • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a four-year degree; or 6 years with an advanced degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Minimum five years of enterprise data center, infrastructure engineering, or advanced lab experience.

    • Strong Microsoft enterprise infrastructure experience including Active Directory forests and child domains, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Windows Server, and PowerShell.

    • Strong VMware vSphere administration including ESXi, vCenter, shared storage, distributed virtual networking, lifecycle management, and automation.

    • Experience with enterprise networking concepts including VLANs, Layer 2/Layer 3, LACP, trunking, and multi-vendor switching.

    • Experience with enterprise storage including IBM FlashSystem, NetApp, Fibre Channel SANs, NFS, and iSCSI.

    • Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift enterprise environments.

    • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and integrate new enterprise technologies.

  • Preferred qualifications

    • IBM Power Systems experience.

    • IBM software platforms including Maximo, Instana, Turbonomic, Watsonx, or similar enterprise software.

    • Experience working in multi-vendor enterprise environments supporting IBM, Red Hat, VMware, Microsoft, NetApp, HPE, Dell, and networking technologies.

    • Experience with public, private, or hybrid cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud, or similar) and an understanding of cloud infrastructure integration.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: 3 days in office/2 days work from home .

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$126,300.00 - $170,170.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
