Job description

Robotics Software Engineer

FireFly Automatix is the world leader in autonomous fairway mowing, with strong growth in the golf and sports turf market. Our work in automation and electrification for turf farms has expanded to include high-demand solutions for premier golf courses nationwide.

Since 2010, we have focused on precise engineering, practical problem-solving, and strong teamwork. We build fully automated harvesters and autonomous robotic field mowers used in real-world environments daily. We are based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a growing customer base and a product line that continues to advance through disciplined engineering and fast iteration.

What We Build

AMP is our autonomous mowing platform. It maintains large green spaces used for golf and sports turf. Customers map boundaries, plan stripes, and set full mowing routes with QuickPlan software inside our FireLink platform. They place the mower in the field and start the plan from FireLink. AMP handles the rest. It delivers consistent, high-precision mowing, giving maintenance crews more time for higher-value work.

The Position

We are hiring a Robotics Software Engineer who enjoys solving real problems in real environments. You will help us deliver safe, reliable, centimeter-level mowing. Your work will touch controls, perception, localization, path planning, and command and control. You will lead one of these areas based on your strengths.

Bonus Skills

โ€ข Deploying and tuning algorithms for embedded compute

โ€ข Working with kinematic constraints in planning
