Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Deployment Engineer based in Netherlands.

As a Deployment Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering complex technical deployments and bespoke solutions for high-profile clients in the sports and media industry. Operating in a fast-paced, international environment, you will act as the bridge between engineering, product, and customer success, ensuring seamless onboarding and integration of advanced media infrastructure. This role combines hands-on software engineering with client-facing responsibility, giving you ownership of both technical implementation and solution design. You will work on challenging, real-world systems involving media workflows, APIs, and cloud integrations, while directly impacting how leading sports organizations manage and distribute content. If you enjoy solving open-ended technical problems and building solutions that go live quickly and at scale, this role offers a high-impact opportunity.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end technical deployment of complex client implementations from initial kickoff through successful go-live.
  • Design, build, and adapt tailored technical solutions for enterprise clients using APIs, integrations, cloud tools, and custom development where needed.
  • Configure and integrate systems including SSO, storage solutions, broadcast systems, and hybrid or on-prem environments.
  • Manage data and media ingestion workflows, including large-scale content migration and system onboarding.
  • Act as the primary technical contact for clients during deployments, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during implementation and onboarding phases.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to translate client needs into technical solutions.
  • Conduct technical workshops with client engineering, IT, and broadcast teams to align on architecture and workflows.
  • Contribute to improving internal deployment playbooks, documentation, and processes.
  • Provide structured feedback from client deployments to inform product and engineering improvements.
Requirements
  • Strong software engineering background with the ability to code in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Experience in technical, client-facing roles such as deployment engineering, solutions engineering, implementation consulting, or B2B SaaS engineering.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and core networking and security principles.
  • Hands-on experience with system integration, APIs, and complex technical environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and handle ambiguous technical challenges.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a proactive approach to using them for development, automation, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent deployments in fast-moving environments.
  • Experience in sports, media, broadcasting, or video workflows is a strong advantage.
  • Genuine interest in sports technology and large-scale content systems is a plus.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation between 65,000 and 85,000 annually, plus equity participation.
  • Fully remote work across Western Europe with flexible working arrangements.
  • Opportunity to work with leading global sports organizations and media brands.
  • High-impact role with direct ownership of client deployments and technical solutions.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge AI-powered media infrastructure and modern cloud technologies.
  • Collaborative international team environment spanning engineering, product, and customer success.
  • Strong learning and growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling tech company.
  • Opportunity to shape deployment processes and influence product direction through real client feedback.
