North America (NA) Marketing Senior Manager Sport

The North America (NA) Marketing Senior Manager Sport leads the development and execution of culturally relevant, commercially impactful marketing strategies across Basketball, Global Football (Soccer), American Football, Tennis, and Baseball. This role acts as a strategic architect and cross-functional leader, driving innovative brand storytelling and integrated campaigns that fuel both consumer demand and measurable business growth across North America.

Major Responsibilities:
  • In partnership with the Director of Integrated Marketing and relevant cross-functional teams, build and lead end-to-end commercial marketing strategies and integrated campaigns that connect brand storytelling to measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop innovative, culturally resonant marketing concepts that breakthrough in sport and culture, with a demonstrated ability to bring ideas to life from concept to execution.
  • Lead strategic planning phases for all Sport categories in close collaboration with Visual Merchandising, Commercial Marketing, Events, Media, PR, eCom, and Retail to drive consistent, streamlined execution.
  • Maintain a close operational relationship with Merchandising, Sales, and Planning teams to ensure alignment with go-to-market strategies and tactical objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Paid Media/Digital teams by contributing to seasonal briefs and providing input into category messaging, positioning, and creative.
  • Lead relationships with Global Marketing, Ambassador Activation, and Sports Marketing teams to curate regional strategies, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and premium execution across category, product, and athlete marketing efforts.
  • Translate consumer, cultural, and performance insights into actionable strategies that optimize campaigns and inform future initiatives.
Requirements for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 8-10 years of marketing, communications, brand management, or other applicable experience.
  • Deep, authentic connection to sport culture with a pulse on emerging trends, athletes, creators, and communities, including the ability to translate that understanding into meaningful brand and business impact.
  • Proven experience navigating a complex matrix organization, building strong relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Strong business acumen with a clear understanding of commercial functions, go-to-market processes, and performance metrics.
  • Proactive mindset with effective communication skills to ensure and reinforce alignment with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong project and budget management skills.

Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $141,200.00 - $182,200.00 - $223,200.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
